how to find extra

brain space

I’m deliberately getting cold for 30 days, in the hope it’ll help my brain work better

You might have seen on my personal Insta that I’m doing a bunch of ice baths and sea dips (sans wetsuit) coz apparently it’ll help me get rid of my inevitable 2pm slump + the brain fog…

(But avoid the cold if you’re feeling overstimulated first thing in the morning –– it can make things worse. Obvs I’m not a doctor, so chat to a qualified person before trying this out.)

Day 1
>> Cold immersion can offset the symptoms that come after a crappy night’s sleep [
the research

Day 2
>> Cold immersion first thing in the morning helps your alertness + energy for the rest of the day [
the research]

Day 3
>> Cold immersion for men vs women is different: us females don’t need as long in the cold for the same effects [research
papers 1 + 2]

Day 4
>> Getting chilly can quieten the negative chatter in your brain + boost good-mood endorphines [
the research]

Day 5
>> You need inflammation for physical/muscular adaptation, aka if you want to get stronger/faster/fitter, dont do cold straight after exercise [
the research]

And while you’re here, you might want to have a sneak peek into the full-day experience I’ve been building behind the scenes…

INTRODUCING

THE RIPPLE EFFECT

Creating the conditions for you to do your best work.

Come up with your most creative ideas.

And find new perspectives on old problems.

WHY COME ALONG?

STARTING SLOW

DOESN’T MEAN

GETTING LEFT BEHIND

(in fact, it means the opposite)

But how? The amount of brain space you use expands, you’re optimised for creative thinking, there’s new capacity for problem-solving

Then creating the conditions for your body to recalibrate, you feel a brighter spark driving your deep work session… a new idea spikes dopamine, you’re prepped up for the rest of the day

Time has stopped running away from you, so you feel on top of things

Feeling confident in your own abilities, you feel capable of tackling that seemingly immovable work challenge

Because when you’re feeling rebalanced and your body is rebalanced too, that’s when you’re at your most productive — that’s where progress happens

Everything that’s integrated into the experience we’re calling
‘The Ripple Effect’ has been chosen so you can make progress.

BACKED BY SCIENCE.

DRIVEN BY DOPAMINE.

Find a new way to work, filled with fresh clarity, more intuitive thinking + so much productivity.
